Garden pepper-grass (Creasy greens, upland cress) - Lepidium sativum.
An annual plant up to 70 cm high, with erect stems topped with numerous swollen pods. Ideal for winter bouquets, as a dried flower.
Prefers an open, sunny place, needs well-fertilized, light, well-drained soil. It is best to sow the seeds directly into a pot in early April, plant them in open ground in the second half of May.
Plants must be planted very carefully so as not to damage the root system, watered correctly, and if hot sunny weather persists, also shaded.
